TO EXALT GOD
We are committed to inspiring, dynamic worship services for the purpose of exalting God and
Him alone. Worship must be Christ-centered and biblically based, providing an inviting
atmosphere for the Holy Spirit to move. Public worship is a corporate expression of our
individual relationships and walks with Jesus Christ developed through prayer and reading
God’s word.
TO EQUIP BELIEVERS
We are committed to fostering deep, joyful, and consistent walks with our Savior and Lord Jesus
Christ.
We are committed to the priesthood of believers; we will prayerfully and biblically prepare,
empower, and commission members of the body of Christ to the joyful and selfless service of
our Lord Jesus Christ.
We are committed to recognizing and encouraging the use of natural talents and spiritual gifts
(Romans 12, 1 Corinthians 12, Ephesians 4) bestowed by God on all believers for the building
of the body of Christ and the expansion of His kingdom.
TO EDIFY THE BODY OF CHRIST
We are committed to loving God completely and loving people unconditionally. We resolve to
obey the command to love one another in the same way that Christ loves us (John 15:12). We
will show love through intercessory prayer and practical service to the church body and the
community.
We are committed to multiplying and maintaining small groups for the purpose of fostering
accountable friendships which support, encourage, and uplift others to the glory of God.
TO EVANGELIZE THE LOST
We are committed to developing and nurturing passionate hearts for the lost because of God’s
desire for ALL to come to salvation. We are committed to supporting missionaries both at home
and abroad through prayer, encouragement, and financial support. We are committed to
raising up and sending out a new generation of missionaries.
We are committed to prayerfully seeking God for creative ways to reach others with the good
news of Jesus Christ, beginning with Champaign County. We will provide opportunities for
those in the community to develop relationships with believers in order to share the gospel in a
non-threatening way using scripture to address their needs and questions.
